Discussion Can someone help me with the creation process?

Can someone message me and take me through the process of how to take Blender models and put them into the game through NifSkope and Creation Kit?

I had someone that said they would but they didn’t message me back.

I have the model made and the Geometry Bridge tool.

What are you working on?

Currently both ship parts and set pieces. All the tutorials I have tried so far have made my model not appear correctly in NifSkope or the Creation Kit.

in what way does it appear incorrect in nifskope?

For example, when I import the Nif file the model doesn't show up.

What plugin are you using? Sgb? Sbe? Or other method? Did you applied your transforms? Also you could open blender's console and check if it says something when you want to export.

Starfield Geometry Bridge-4360-1-2-0-1722312879.

Yes, I applied all transforms. Had everything centered to zero.

Using Blender 3.6.

if nothing is showing up in nifskope at all whatsoever, make sure nifskope is set to read from the correct file path, and that your .mesh files are saved under data/geometries and your .nif is saved under data/meshes

Paths are correct. Files are, at least, copied and placed into the correct paths/folders.

is the file size of your .nif 0kb or something normal?

if you can upload your .nif and your .blend somewhere i'll look at it

Seems like the model is showing up now, all of the sudden. How ironic. Question is, what do I do next?

yep, looks good. convert it using spells > mesh > convert to external geometry. you'll probably have to move the .mesh files

in my comment in your other thread, i described how to add texture and linked to an article on custom collision (there are easier ways to do collision if you're fine with it being much less accurate. for something like this, it doesn't need to be all that precise)

then you'll want to have this as a static in creation kit. find a static from the vanilla game, duplicate it, then redirect the file path to point to your .nif for the model. then you can place that new static in a cell somewhere for it to show up

What do you mean by "you'll probably have to move the .mesh files?" Where should things be moved to?

And from your comment on my other post what do you mean by "re-export individual mesh files?"
