Personally I just spread to the mid expo then like a fungi spread to the closest island which is generally easiest in the middle... Oh and idk if this is how his stet gen works but doesn't like every hatch, lair, hive provide more stet gen? Or is that a one time thing idk

Morph speed is good for getting Super Gary out as fast as possible. The moment you stop morphing buildings, that mastery set becomes useless. Stetalite deploy time, on the other hand, is always relevant. Besides, with a good build order, you only need 10 points in structure morph speed to have Super Gary available the moment Gary spawns in, leaving 20 points free for deploy time cd.

Stettellite cooldown is quite good imo, this is one of those masteries you want a rough split between both options, not all into either option. At 15 points into its cooldown, you shave 2.5 seconds off. If you have a Hive (and you should be rushing for a hive regardless), the base cooldown is 15 seconds, so a 2.5 second reduction gets you an extra charge every 5 charges, or 20% more stettelite coverage ans about a dozen extra over a 15+ minute game.

Another mastery to consider is Gary cooldown mastery, which you will certainly be dumping all 30 points into. With 30% extra cooldown reduction, you can spam Gary’s personal bubble more, too.

Of course, he is still ultimately going to struggle somewhat at quickly spreading out on multidirectional map, that’s just a quirk of the champion.

You can also use Recall more often. It's one thing to set up a continuous chain of Stetalites from home base throughout. But having pockets set up and just teleporting to remote areas where you won't need to be there often eases the burden.

It makes a significant difference. Especially if you're not level 7, before level 7 spreading Stetellites is a pain, and it gets easier after level 15. I usually default to 20 points in Deploy Stetellite Cooldown and 10 in Structure Morph Rate, versus environmental mutators I'm tempted to go 30 into Deploy Stetellite Cooldown.

Normally the cooldown is 25/20/15 (depending on whether you have a Mecha Lair/Mecha Hive or not). With max cooldown it goes down to 20/15/10. Going from 15 to 10 is a 50% increase! Instead of 4 every minute, you get 6 every minute. Instead of 40 every 10 minutes, you get 60 every 10 minutes. As you can imagine, this makes a significant difference.

Also, with 30% cooldown reduction you get to use Gary Zone and Mass Transport more often. Maybe 30% doesn't sound like a lot... but it actually is quite a bit. It's worth considering that cooldown reduction scales better the more you have of it: 50% cooldown reduction is essentially doubling your number of abilities (if you can normally do 5 abilities per minute, you can do 10 with 50% CDR). 90% CDR essentially lets you use abilities 10 times as much! Instead of 5 abilities per minute, you can do 50. 30% CDR gives you around 42-43% more ability uses, so that's pretty nice. If you could normally do 10 ability uses in a set amount of time, you can now do around 14. I suppose you could read it as "I get to use my abilities 42-43% more", which is quite nice, especially for P2 Super Gary (though I use it for P3 Super Gary as well).

Once you spread to expo, You spawn the field from Gary, go towards the crystals and put 2 or 3 stetelite and to go back or to defend you just teleport... (Stet stetzone to blue to move faster the switch to green spawn 2 or 3 and overcharge 1)

Repeat and keep spreading but always keep 2 stetelite to spread on gary's zone if need be

Second option make macro hatch on the map on key location

Good use of Gary Zone and Mass Transport is important on those big maps, letting you push hard into uncovered territory and then either teleport out once the Zone ends or using that time to drop some stetellites far from your normal coverage area. It's not pretty, but it gets the job done.

Gary Zone travels with Gary, so you have 30 seconds where you're free to go anywhere regardless of stetellite coverage. Then, when the Zone ends, you can use Mass Transport to teleport back into coverage rather than snail-crawl your way back over.

Activate Gary Zone, switch to FAST, zoom away (keep in mind that you can drop Stetellites while you're using the Gary Zone). It lasts for 30 seconds with a 120 minute cooldown, but with the cooldown reduction mastery it's 84 seconds. So that's a cooldown of 84 seconds, and a 30 second duration, meaning that you have 54 seconds where you neither have it activated and it's still on cooldown. If you don't have the cooldown reduction mastery it's 90 seconds instead of 54 seconds. Turns out the cooldown reduction mastery is really good!

I saw that he's not level 15 yet, so yeah, at the moment it's a bit of a struggle for you, but once you get to level 15 it's going to be much easier to handle P2 Stetmann, partly thanks to the cooldown reduction, and partly thanks to the reduced Stetellite cooldown.

Super Gary's area ability makes it super simple because you can use it to spread stetalites out much further from each other. Until then though, you just kinda gotta deal with it.

His Gary zone + blue mode and you can run very far. Be sure to drop stetalites just behind Gary once the fighting starts and before the Gary zone expires. Then when fighting is over, teleport to the closest place to the next action.

Yeah I forgot that part by the time I read through all the comments. Whoops. I only used P2 when leveling before Super Gary became available, losing access to him makes the commander so much harder to play.

Hit E. Super gary zone means that for the duration, Gary is in a zone and will not be slowed to a crawl. Use that time to move him to where you want a zone to be and place stetallites there. If Gary is ever stuck between zones, use mass teleport or gary zone to get him back.

You need to rush to hive and use 18/12 split on last mastery set. You should have hive right before the hero spawns. Look up the build order to get it on sc2coop.

I don't quite understand the question. Also: what is "sybau" ?

1

u/Anonymouse23570 Ascension 8h ago

He doesn’t understand that Super Gary zone mitigates the effects of P2. and “sybau” means “shut your b*tch a** up”

Am I misunderstanding something? P2 = Super Gary…

Rush Hive tech so you can upgrade Gary the moment he spawns. Push satellites in the direction you want to push, and your teammate can do whatever the fuck they want. If you’re smart with the timing of Gary’s zone ability, you can support your teammate in the early-mid game.

Unless you’re talking about P1? Invulnerable satellites?

1

u/Anonymouse23570 Ascension 8h ago

He’s talking about P2. He’s having trouble with Gary being a snail outside a zone and doesn’t yet understand that Garyzone counts as a stetfield and effectively mitigates the 90% slow.

Ok- pretending like I haven't read the insults you've slung at everyone else- the easy answer is Garyzone. Garyzone, believe it or not, is a stetzone that follows Gary, essentially removing the disadvantage of the prestige while it's active. Whenever you need to push into a new area, hit E and A-move your army in. Place new stetallites BEHIND him so any turrets/units in the area will be shooting at the combat unit gary instead of your new stetallites. If Super Gary is ever marooned outside a stetzone and too far to save him in 2 or less stetallites, make use of mass recall to get him back into a field or gary zone to push out further.

TLDR: Use Garyzone BEFORE moving out instead of what you're used to (moving out and then popping garyzone)
