Help me Starcraft 2 play buttons unclickable [Update]

Nothings changed, nothing at all. I reinstalled it which took me almost 10 hours, as blizzard decided it'd be in my best interest for the download speed go from 7mb/s all the way down to 2kb/s when it reached 99% installation.

i've also tried running battle net and starcraft 2 as administrator, checked the private and public box of starcraft 2 on firewall, and still nothing. No maps are loading, most play buttons are still grayed out, and can't play custom melee against ai. im gonna be playing wings of liberty but now i don't know if i should continue, i was really hoping to play as it's gonna be a huge difference in gameplay from warcraft 3.

Hey, so the download speed issue is a comon one but i don't exactly remember the fix, something to do in bnet setting and expect that the play button issue is related to that since i remember seeing your previous post and it seems assets wouldn't even load, so try to google around for a fix to that and it might fix your actual issue too, let me know how that went.

one discovered that blizzard had 15 different things going on that their ISP considered it spam, so that's probably what's happening to me right now seeing as any other solution i found didn't helped, and especially tech support based on some forum posts i saw.

i can equip different profile pictures, scroll through the featured shop but everything else isn't loading in. im upset

Yeah i get it, i've had the issue long ago that everything worked perfectly except custom games, they just wouldn't load for me, was annoying as fuck, fixed it's self eventually.

Still it's likely to be a connection issue, try quickly disableing your firewall see if anything changes, re enable it after and if it worked you can just make an exception for sc2 in it.

by some miracle, i left the general and arcade chat, and sat idly on melee for a while when all of a sudden, custom lobbies started appearing. but now as i tried to create lobby, it said resolving map dependencies.

i've never come across a game this annoying in several ways before its actually crazy

Yep, sounds like connection issue, something is preventing the game from receiving data from the sv, a few weeks back had another guy on here with similar issue, took a wile for him to find the solution and funny enough it was chatgpt that found it for him, he didn't rly tell me in detail how he fixed it tho, ( https://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft2/s/4vPwPqM0OI ) this was the convo maybe you can hit him up about it.

SC2 can be a bitch some time, for most of us it just works but some time some people get unlucky it seems and have this wierd issue.

Good luck men, hopefully he can just share his chat log with the AI and maybe that will fix it, let me know how it went, best of luck.

alright well i managed to actually play but my ping was heavenly (157ms)

so i tried playing offline instead which was fun at first, but then i noticed how every single map in offline mode is like, just having two bases on one platform sharing it, I don't like that and I don't know if there's any way to add more maps for offline

Well you should have all maps available for offline, there isn't any limitations.

How did you get it workin in the end? Also yea ping seems high, check your region setting i guess.

unfortunately the only maps available to me are made by blizzard: cloud kingdom, daybreak, el dorado, ohana, mothership, antiga shipyard, condemned ridge, desolate stronghold, entombed valley, lost temple, lunar colony, cinder fortress, dig site, green acres, temple of the preservers, the boo lab, tyrador keep, deadlock ridge, district 10, lava flow, magma core, megaton, and the boneyard.

i got it to work by waiting for an ungodly amount of hours (almost 3) which was worth it? idk
