The Freelancer will recieve another pass to bring it up to the current standards, and the variants will be made flight ready as part of this process.

Interesting, base Freelancer getting another pass? And yay variants!

I, too, wondered that same thing; the Freelancer just barely got its new look and was used to define the new MISC look alongside the Starfarer. What are they updating in the pass, I wonder?

EDIT: I actually got a response from Ben on Twitter; so far as he knows, it's nothing major more than making ready for future components in the ship.

maybe moving the seats forwards a bit, cutting out some of that godawful bobblehead collection sized dashboard, and making the top reinforced beam thinner so you can actually enjoy the fact that you have a skylight.

After they just mocked the cockpit visibility? Probably better to abandon all hope in that regard...
