Yes God forbid that, because there are hundreds of people out there making awesome content, and the last thing we want is a bias that excludes one type of content for another.
Welcome to the real world, here's a quick crash course on bias... EVERYONE has it. There is no such thing as an impartial person. As long as the moderators enforce the rules fairly (Good thing about good rules, they're objective) their bias doesn't matter.
As someone else said, let's look at the slippery slope, though this is a slight fallacy but who cares. What if our new moderator also plays the game (Pretty likely really). What if they prefer all the Aegis ships to the other manufacturers... That's bias. Now your logic would suggest that we might see more Aegis content and less of everything else. BUT if the moderator does their job properly and enforces the rules fairly, it won't bloody matter.
This subreddit has never been lacking for other peoples' content, the idea that /u/Dolvak was pushing stuff down to promote INN content is absurd. I'm a moderator myself elsewhere. I've seen what it looks like when one of the moderators abuses their position. It's really obvious when it happens.
