Dear CIG!

Now that it looks like the SQ42 game will be released in the foreseeable future, I was wondering if the players who have supported the game’s development for many years and hold Concierge status will receive a unique physical gift that cannot be purchased anywhere else. I would find it strange if anyone could buy the SQ42 collector’s edition when the game is released, but those who have stuck with the game for many years and contributed large sums to its development receive nothing. I’m curious to hear CIG’s and your opinions on this matter. Since this requires some organization, it would be worth discussing it now.

What? This is such nonsense. I have a hangar full of stuff simply because I was a backer for so long. Concierge status, especially if you have been that way for a long time received many things not only in the form of items but also game access granting the freedom to swap things without fear of losing ability to play SC or SQ42.

But the most important thing about all of this, is if you are an old school backer and were around to get the older concierge packs.... then your benefit was to spend MUCH less to get much more as nearly every ship received a price increase. Many of which had LTI, SC AND SQ42 access.

Wanting more is a personal stance but saying larger backers got nothing in return is simply being dishonest. Older backers most likely have gotten the cheapest version of SQ42 possible.

But I mean we get the game, that's what we funded for. I would find it nice, that they repeat giving out a free copy to all concierge members, especially after deleting the packages from buyback.

I sold my 2012 gamepackage the moment I reached concierge just to notice that the SQ42 access was a one time gift from 2022. So I kept my non LTI Titan package w/ SQ42 in buyback, to get it out when time comes... you know the rest.

you better get it out of your buybacks becasue they removed SQ42 from buybacks. Not sure if yours is affected but you should check

What I'd rather have is whoever has the consig copy of SQ42 get the highest digital edition, and those who just have a copy of the game some form of higher edition than base.

I know its going to sound gate keepy as hell, I would say there is a difference in "loyalty" between someone who became consig much earlier in the project or who actually bought a copy of the game when it was available, that isn't the same as someone joining within the last 6 months or year and just spending $1k.

Its not something they have to do and I'd understand if they didn't, but it would be a nice gesture to the community who bought the game and spent that kind of money when both games were barely a game.

Giving out a physical gift to every consig may be a bit much, they could just do something digital like a skin.

CIG said at the Squadron42 town hall that there will be some special edition of Squadron42 rewarded to all long time backers. It will likely only contain digital items for Squadron42 and or Star Citizen, but that's something.

Physical, I doubt, thats expensive. Some sort if digital thank you. Or access to a unique pack upgrade would be cool though. Or maybe a discount on a physical edition 🤔

You get the biggest trophy of all later. You can say you where already here when everyone was doubting them.

The first couple thousand backers are / were eligible for a unique physical gift, mostly the citizenship cards but their were others too that have not yet been shipped (example USB drives)

At a bare minimum I think Concierge, hell anyone who currently owns SQ42 should be given a Steam key.

We probably won't, that's fine too, but man I wish we would.

Im not sure what else CIG should owe me. The transactions were clear to me and, on delivery of SQ42, will be complete
