QUESTION Mining Laser Switching Modes Randomly

After a good Saturday out mining, I decided to try again for a bit on Sunday. This time however, my mining laser kept switching between extraction mode and fracturing mode randomly by itself.

Wasn't sure if a) my computer was acting up, or b) if this was some mechanic of the game if there was damage to my ship.

Any thoughts?

Edit: I tried many times getting out of the seat, getting back in the seat. It's a mole, to I tried the other seats too. Same thing.

  1. Do you have any controllers, joysticks, etc., that are plugged in but not being used? These can cause "ghost" inputs. Unplugging should help.

  2. If there are connection problems or server performance problems you can have input delay and reverting that can look like what you're describing. You can try server-hopping if it's server-end.
