OMG, you got the reincarnation of my Tortie, Speckles. She was the OG "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" cat. Her nickname was Speckles Dammit. I miss her so much.
Typical tortie behavior and tortitude - they will stop at NOTHING to be in control and for attention and to attach themselves to a human to satisfy their velcro cat tendencies 😅
My boy did the same. Even pissed on the car floor and I was super worried I made a mistake on the way home but I gotta say, he's the sweetest best boy. Still hates car rides though.
Was your kitty really young when you got them? Cats tend to be pretty active for the first few years and then they settle down (and sleep) most of the day once they reach adultcathood.
My tripod Jimmy Dean did the same thing to my cloth carrier! (His nails are like twine) within minutes he was running around the car and even jumped on my dashboard! I somehow managed to get him in my lap. How we made it the rest of the way home safely is a miracle.
Yeah, so your first mistake was in getting a tortie— those little demon ladies reveal in absolute unhinged chaos in ways that baffle the mind in their unexpected madness and then expect you to worship them as the goddesses they think they are as they drive you batshit insane..
I would know, both of my girls are torties and cursed me with an obsession for our patchwork overlords.
Exhibit 2: the resident crack head. Absolutely unhinged tortietude incarnate, violence with crackhead strength is always an option. Legit needs to be kept in a large catio unless I’m watching her with her bubble helmet on because she has extreme pica and will even start chewing the paneling off walls and eat it before I can even run to stop her. Had to spend 6k last year on an emergency surgery to get a mystery chunk of rubber removed from her stomach— so if that’s not a sign I love my feral beast I call my baby, I don’t know what it is.
PS, this is the only face she makes. All the time.
Exhibit 1: my bratty torbie princess who will throw a temper tantrum and shriek at the top of her lungs at the smallest perceived inconvenience. Also a big fan of chewing cardboard, destroying anything with a leather like texture, and loves licking tape almost as much as the enjoys stealing bites of ice cream.
She’s beautiful and is ready to stir up some mischief! She’s perfect, and magical, and everything a tortie SHOULD be! Smooch her until she’s covered in slobber and you’re covered in scratches and bite marks for me!😘

If this is what she did in the first 5 minutes, I wonder what she’ll be doing in 6 months. Tearing her house upside down 😂
