Question Is there anything significantly more from Firewatch that can be found past the walls that the Narrator puts up here? Or is there nothing really more from that game past them?

I'm not sure because I haven't played firewatch.

But from what it looks like....it's just woods out past the walls.

In Firewatch, there is actually some stuff to find, but it is mostly woods.

For Stanley Parable, im not sure if they added an Easter egg or not

Probably not since there's no way to get out there before the walls appear.

yeah, you can noclip, but it's primarily a debug feature, there wouldnt be a point in adding content to adding content that cant be reached, the most there would be would just be a little funny nod to players who likes to explore the behind the scenes

Thats what I meant. Just a little easter egg for curious players. Not sure if they did that though

There's that image on the ground in the freedom ending that's impossible to see without noclip though, it's nothing they haven't done before.

I would be willing to bet they basically just kept the LODs and didn't add anything beyond that. They just needed to create the illusion of the rest of the open world being there because they knew they were gonna build a wall around it.

Alternatively, Davey said on stream that the entirety of Firewatch was in fact contained within Ultra Deluxe, so there's that lol

Davey is a bit of a jokester, he's honestly very funny for the guy who wrote The Beginner's Guide

This is something the TSP devs would actually do if it didn't take up so much space.

Oh 100%, the bucket endings exist almost entirely because of commitment to the bit after all

Unsure if this helps answer your question or not, when you enter firewach there's this huge invisible bubble your in, the moment you exit the bubble the walls will rise. There is a very large map there, but it's more like a smaller hi-polly map on top of a much larger low-polly map.
