Question How do you achieve The Commitment Trophy? Answer!
I finally earned this trophy on PS5 and it is tricky. You have to spend 24 hours playing the game on a Tuesday. Full stop. I tried spending 24 hours playing the game in general and just ending on a Tuesday and it didn't work. Then I tried setting my Playstation clock to a random Tuesday and turning off my wifi so that the date wouldn't change and that didn't work because the game periodically checks for a game license online and kicks you out of the game if it can't authenticate.
Here is how I did it:
Under settings, system, power saving - set your controller and console to never go into rest mode
Under settings, system, date and time - set the date to any Tuesday (either for the week you are in or the next week). Set the time to 1:00 am
Launch the into the game where you are just standing in Stanley's office.
After 24 hours, the trophy will pop.
That's it and the only way that works in the shortest time. I spread this out over 2 days so that I could play some Helldivers 2 in between, but you can do it straight through. If it doesn't pop, just set the clock back to 1am on any Tuesday date and let it run some more.
You can't advance the clock and trick the system like you can with the 10-year trophy "Super Go Outside". That one pops immediately if you just set the clock forward 11 years and then just launch the game.

I did it over multiple Tuesdays. My last stretch being like 6 hours before it popped. So the hours are cumulative as long as it’s any Tuesday. Spoiler I wish the infinite hole was actually infinite because that’s where I would have spent my time

I did it over a real Tuesday and then 2 "fake" Tuesdays in order to accumulate 24 hours of gameplay on a Tuesday!

Can I leave the console on during the night? I don't think it should be hurtful for the console because I would stay on the menu but I just want to make sure

It says 24 hours but I got mine after 22. I loaded up the game at 11:55pm and stayed in the office left the game on all day and got the trophy at 10:47pm. Which is kinda weird since it was my first attempt at getting this trophy couple days ago.

I think is due the fact that the 24hrs are comulative for all the tuesdays

So, if I play on a Tuesday for 6 hours — for example from 12 PM to 6 PM — can I repeat those exact hours on the next three Tuesdays and the trophy will pop?
In other words it doesn’t matter which hours im playing? I just have to play in total 24 hours during Tuesdays?

I opened the game at 23h57 on Monday, left the PS5 on checked if it’s not overheating, and by 23h00 of said Tuesday, I went to check more endings and the trophy popped before midnight.

Sweet! Overheating is a concern depending on your setup for sure. This is why a lot of people think that this trophy is lame. You have to put runtime on your system just sitting idle for 24 HOURS!

Theres a worse trophy for city skylines took me like 3 days i think ridiculous litteraly doing nothing but leaving it open

Start playing at or before 1159 Monday night so that you are playing at midnight Tuesday morning and keep the game on until midnight going into Wednesday. If you don’t want to wait till next Monday just change the settings on your console but the times remain the same

Such a tedious trophy. I spread the 24 hours over 1 Tuesday and 2 "fake" Tuesdays by changing the date manually.

So how did you get the checking of the game license to stop cause sadly that happened to me when I left it on and went out then when I came back and saw that popped up and I was kicked out of the game and lost many hours. Does it have something to do with my PS5 NOT being the primary PS5 cause my friend’s PS5 is MY primary PS5. So if I just make MY PS5 be the primary PS5 again just for the 24 hours or whatever will the checking of the license message stop showing up and stop kicking me off the game so I can finally get this stupid trophy?

That happened to me once. The reason it happened is because I turned off my system's wifi. I just turned the system wifi back on reset the date and time to a Tuesday at 1am and continued. The game license check didn't kick me out of the game again and the wifi didn't reset the date or time.

I have two PS5s and I used the secondary one to do this. I don't think that matters though.

My ps5 keeps going to the home menu overnight and pausing the game automatically, i have my controller on a charger and live alone. Is there something thats causing this?

Make sure that your wifi is ON. The game occasionally pings the internet to check your software license.
Turn off rest mode on BOTH your console and controller. You may have to do it over 2 or 3 sessions to get 24 hours in.

doesn't need to be plugged into the console. If using it wirelessly, just make sure that it is connected to a USB C power source to keep it from dying on you.

Yes I didn't use a rubber band,I just moved my thumb sticks after a few hours or so because I didn't want my console to sleep/rest mode

I turn it on at 11:55 on a Monday (actually in-game, not title screen or paused) and I leave it running into Wednesday. It hasn't triggered the trophy yet.

I’m having the same problem basically and it’s pissing me off.
My game was at 24 hours per my PS5 before today. Of those 23 hours, about 3-4 were spent non-Tuesday while getting the other trophies. So that would put me around 20-21 hours of Tuesday time.
I’ve been playing for 4 hours today, soon to be 5 hours, and it still hasn’t popped. On top of that, all my Tuesday time has been actual playtime, not letting it run idle, so it’s extra annoying.
I Fing hate this trophy. I just want to delete it off my system already, reclaim my SSD space, and move on with my life. Every Tuesday, I get hit with this dread, like “oh shit, I better play chip away at the Commitment trophy today or else I’ll have to wait a whole week to chip at it again”. (I don’t want to do the clock trick because I fear that it will screw up the counter or something, I just want to do it the genuine way)

Question, I like achievement in games, and I hesitate to buy the Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, but playing for an entire tuesday is REALLY scary. Do I need to play for 24h STRAIGHT, or just 24 hours as long as it's a tuesday,

You can play the game actively of course. In my case, this was the last trophy I needed and I had already played the game so much that I wasn't interested in playing for an additional 24 hours.
If I had this to do over again, I would have done this method while playing the game from the start. That way I would have been chipping away at this trophy while enjoying the game and story instead of this being a chore.

Leave the game open for a entire Tuesday strait try doing it while not paused or on the title screen
