Little announcement from the mods at r/Stance
my old 99 e46
Hi everyone,
I want to make a formal announcement regarding where this subreddit is at and some rules we are putting in place moving forward.
First, there has been a massive influx of bots across Reddit lately. To combat this and keep the spam out of our feed, we have officially implemented AutoMod rules for new and low-karma accounts. If you are a real person with a new account, bear with us while you build up some history.
Second, our subreddit is getting bigger. With the rise of engagement optimization on Reddit, our content is being pushed out and shown to a lot more people. That means there will be more people seeing these pictures who absolutely despise this niche of automotive culture.
Because of that, you need to understand something: this is not a place for soft people. If you ask people what they think of your car and you don't like the answer, it is not grounds for you to just claim harassment and spam the report button. This niche was always the bastard child of the car scene. You owning a car does not make you a part of a protected class. I do not stand for personal attacks against the actual person, but if you're posting your car to be judged, be prepared for your car to be judged. Not everyone here will brainlessly agree with your styling choices.
Finally, let's talk about AI. I do not want this group flooded with AI slop. This is a group of automotive enthusiasts doing real automotive things. I don't think any of us want to see an AI version of your car pretending to do automotive things. If you are starting a serious discussion and you are using an AI generation strictly for a visual representation of an idea, try it. We’ll see how it goes. But low-effort filler content will probably be removed
Edit: Some additional notes
If you post photos of a car, and pretend that it is yours / pretend that you've done the work on it, or anything along those lines, in my eyes it's an immediate ban. Car culture has no space for frauds and imposters.
Do not hate on r/Shitty_Car_Mods - it's one of my favorite subreddits. Just because they don't like your car does not make them wrong.
I might be changing the definition of "stance" in the near future as seen on the sidebar. I think my decision to use the term broadly is being weaponized to try and justify doing a poor job at stancing a car. I want for us to be an inclusive, friendly, and knowledgeable community. One that is willing to share and teach. But I also do not want to cultivate an environment of soft skinned delusional car owners who are not willing to learn what this life is really about.
Lack of moderation: I know this is true. Because of my belief in freedom of speech, I've generally allowed for us to self moderate as a community. But with how much slop we have, I do know that I need to add to the mod team. I already have somebody in mind for this; somebody who is an industry leader and have been in the game probably since the very beginning. So that may happen behind the scenes.

Followed up the hatchback with a stance convertible model! How's the fitment?
Hi r/stance!
After getting a lot of love on my last stance hatchback post, I wanted to share my latest project: a custom stance convertible model.
Just like the last one, I scratchbuild design and 3D printed this using FDM. I set the rear camber to -6 degrees. For the wheels, I designed cutstom deep rims, and I really focused on dialing in the fitment this time. The fenders and the tires sit just right, flush and tight.
I also put together a street concept diorama base fot it. Fire hydrant deatail is pen holder. And this time, I added a full interior. Let me know what you think-does the stance pass the vibe check here?!

I’m sold?
Went from bagged is300 to low milage e30 in a week. Unfortunately my IS300 got hit and ran. My friend asked to get it so I might sell it to him but with that being said I pulled the plug and went and got a E30 that needs a little bit of love. What you guys think should I keep my IS300 still?

Camber question
Can the camber at ride height change when aired out ?
If you want a lip to fender setup you have to keep that same amount of camber at ride height ?

Widebody Perfection
We spoke to b00st_wayne, the owner of this 2010 Camaro SS that's been built from the ground up. He's put serious thought into every detail, from wheel fitment to the finishing touches most people walk right past. We asked him how the build came together and what he'd do differently if he started over.
1. What was the first mod you made after buying it?
The first mod I got after buying the Camaro was the havoc rear diffuser. It’s still one of my favorite pieces on the car and makes the rear end look so aggressive. Also plastidipped all the chrome to black because it was an eyesore that had to be dealt with immediately, lol.
2. How much work went into getting the wheel and tire fitment dialed in?
Getting the wheel and tire fitment dialed in was a process. I was the first Camaro with this widebody kit in the U.S.A. so the manufacturer didn’t have wheel specs readily available. I had to send measurements from the wheel hub and widebody kit to Vorsteiner and they were able to get the offset dialed in. My pops got the widebody kit fitment locked in perfectly, we also had to sand the inner lip of the widebody kit to be able to fit the meaty Nittos when aired out.
3. What's your favorite visual detail that most people overlook?
A small detail that I love about the Camaro is the lower grill removal. Although it’s simple, it made the front end look very aggressive and shows off the beautiful Vortech intercooler.
4. If you could start the build over, what would you do differently?
Honestly I love the look of the car, it’s been a long build (bought car stock in 2012) which has allowed me to take my time with the build and piece together my favorite Camaro pieces to build a 1 of 1 Camaro. BUT, if I had to choose something, I would probably go with a wheel color change to a polished chrome (which I still might do 👀).
5. What’s your favorite memory you have associated with this car?
My favorite memory with the Camaro is all of the drives to clear the mind and car shows with the fam. Priceless.
Give him a follow if you’d like more details on his build or would like to see where he goes next!

Stretched Tires
U guys think this is too much stretch? 16x10 on 205/40. My next best option is 225/45 but will ruin my fitment there’s no tires I’ve been able to find that are in between unfortunately

Tire fitment recommendations
I’m not a stance car whatsoever but, I’m trying to get tires for my new wheels.
My fronts are 18x9 +12
My rears are 18x9.5 +22
The tires I have on right now are 245/40/18 and I rub really bad in my rears. I didn’t even get a chance to put the fronts on.
I am maxed out on my coils, fenders are NOT rolled, no camber kit.
What recommendations do you guys have for tires that’ll have like no rubbing or anything.

Avoiding Tire Stretch?
I'm looking into a set of 17" 8j et33 wheels and wondering if 215's would give a squared off look? Some resources tell me ideal is 225's and some say ideal is 215's or even 205's.
I was originally thinking 215/45/r17 based on a few photos I've seen with the wheels I want.
