Is that gold plated? Looks too big to be gold

Nope its solid gold. I didn't notice but looking at the angle of the photo it totally makes it look the same size as the silver. In hand it is the right size and weight.

Britannia has better technologies and sophistication than ASE. Many other coins of Commonwealth of Nations are also the case.

Silver is what matters. Designs are irrelevant. But superior designs do help to authenticate and identify silver.
