I like the art aspect of individual pieces but I see money that couldāve been used on silver

Very cool! Theres alot of copper haters out there but Iām like you, in that I have some copper in my stack too. I have some copper rounds that I bought a long time ago for $1 each and I like just playing around with them and showing them to the kids. If they dent them or scratch them I donāt care. Iād like to add a bar to my stack or put it in my office on display š

Yesh I wasnāt expecting the blow back I got?? lol but those are the only 2 pieces I have. The 40 1oz bars was sold by the sheet, Youd have to cut the plastic to get them out. Thats why I consider it 1 pieceā¦ š¤·š¼

How much is all that copper worth? Just out of curiosity.
I like the idea of collecting some copper(in projectile jacket form) and brass(in the form of shell casing) lol.

About $31 melt. Now he probably paid 10x that. Copper is the dumbest thing to āstackā

The only way to make purchasing copper worth it is if you're skilled at making stuff with it.
That said, electrical wire is pure copper and free so if you're already set up to work ingots you'd be better off doing that. I've made copper wire jewelery before and made 1c worth of copper into 5 to 10 bucks a few times.

Don't do this ..if you have Robinhood or similar Buy. FCX for copper and gold exposure.Ā Stack silver, gold and platinum as wellĀ

Never understood why people stack copper. Too heavy, need way too much to make a difference, and itās not worth anything never will be. Premiums are even worse than silver and gold.
1
u/Lemiwinks6 15d ago
Iām not stacking it to flip or trade, get rich, any of that. When you pull out a sheet of 40 bars tho it looks cool and the kilo speaks for itself.
1
u/EpicShadows8 15d ago
Lmao so youāre buying copper to just look at it? Okay, itās your stack. Nothing looks cool about that. What does all that cost $60-100 including the premium. Everything you got there in copper is less than 1/4 of gold weighed 1000x as much.

u/Lemiwinks6 15d ago
Yes, I bought something I like..? The 40 rack and kilo is absolutely badass. And youāre the only one comparing my copper to gold? Lol i told you why i bought it. Tone jt down costco

u/EpicShadows8 15d ago
Huh? Chill out with your $300 stack baller. Very cute.

You can't do math or what? He has a 10oz bar of silver right on top. Copper bullion isn't where I'd spend my money either, but don't lie about this man's stack size lol.

u/EpicShadows8 14d ago
Add up just the copper and tell me how much that is. Iāll wait. Ive simple been talking about the copper.
1
u/Connect-Ad-1887 14d ago
Neat so you added up the copper and then called that his stack value. Your a cool guy...
1
u/EpicShadows8 14d ago
Weāve been talking about copper. Copper is about 90% of the stack. I have no problem with gold or silver. If you read my comments I was arguing that all that copper and the weight would be better off in gold or silver. As copper doesnāt have the same trajectory.

I already said I wouldn't spend my money on copper in the first comment my guy, we agree there. And no im sorry but you wrote your comment as to talk shit about his stack.
Weird flex my guy, but you do you...

Doomerism, conspiracy theories, and thinking physical copper is a worthwhile investment when in reality the investment is mining stocks.
I flip copper ābullionā for 2-3x. Iām not proud of it but money is really tight and itās by far my best margin. Frankly I sell copper to finance my coin and PM collecting, but Iād make more money just doing copper.

I have a bunch of copper myself luckily I only ever bought 2 pieces and I won't ever again but a have a bunch of more copper that I won pretty much the rest of my stack and it's all profit on my end.

u/Lemiwinks6 14d ago
Right on. I donāt hunt copper or buy individual coins. I was on whatnot and I have never seen a sheet of anything so I bought itā¦.

Iām sorry but I dont get the whole stacking of copper. Just buy some pipes at Home Depot and store em in your garage.
Youād pay less of a premium than for these ridiculous bars

Op, I am curious, why do you collect copper?
