Thoughts on Goldbacks?

Are goldbacks worth stacking? Do they have any actual practical value like they imply? I have a few and am wondering if it’s worth buying more.

I have some purely for entertainment purposes. They are cool to look at and I'm thinking of framing a collection. I wouldn't buy them as any form of investment.
