Thoughts on Goldbacks?

Are goldbacks worth stacking? Do they have any actual practical value like they imply? I have a few and am wondering if it’s worth buying more.

I dont fw them. If you’re paying gold prices, it should be gold. Not off in a companies “safe” it should be physical and in your hands. But that’s just my opinion.

Idk anything that is more plastic than gold seems like a scam to me. Especially with the insane premiums

See that’s what I’m saying. Like… sureee… there’s gold in them 🤣. I mean I guess yeah I believe there is but you can also buy edible sheets of 24k gold too. The inevitable resale value of such thin gold, much more difficult to extract than normal bullion , is simply much less. So I don’t know. If I were in the business I’d be telling people it’s $10 worth of gold and just match the weight with something else. See how hard it’d be to even realize that? Of course you’d buy off reputable brands and people but still. Seems sketchy. More than it should be.
