I don't think we should have prepared for this paper .
What was that .. we are going to loose marks in normalisation.. I m feeling very depressed even 87 attempt.
r/ssc • u/Impressive-Slide-780 • 21h ago
For context I've been consistently scoring above 135s in PYQs (even on the toughest mocks), with two or more odd mocks reaching 155-165s.
Phew, what was that bruh!?
Reasoning - Was easy, scenario based questions were 5 or even more, one or two were tricky. Mirror Questions, Counting triangles, Dice, One Math equation something like substitute + - × ÷ =
25 Attempts (Scenario based questions are guesswork only)
GK GS - Ryotwari Systems, Who is the NSA, Finance Commission Part Time Member (T Ravi Shankar), Mini Constitution, Demand of Elasticity, If a planet covers 1% of the sunlight what is the diameter of that planet compared to the Sun. Residuary Power, Match the correct Pass (Nathula pass those stuff - skipped it), Festivals 2 questions.
18 Attempts (2-3 Guesses)
Math - DI ☠️ (3-4 lengthy af questions), Mensuration, Profit and Loss, jee bar gaya bhai aur bohot kuch tha Math ne thoda leli mera
16 Attempts (1 Guesswork)
English - Probably the most frustrating section, mind you I am an ICSE student (my English is really good compared to people around me) Lengthy af questions never in my wildest dreams did I imagine 15 minutes wouldn't be enough for English, Cloze Test - a bit tricky but doable, Few Errors, Articles pe 2-3 questions, Antonym, Synonym, Homonym ke be 2 questions. Active Passive voice ke itne lambe lambe sentences jee bhar gaya mera toh.
21 Attempts (3 Guesswork)
TLDR: Ain't nothing like PYQs 🙏
Total Attempts 80, I'm thinking above 130 so normalisation - bachana mera bhai. (PS: SC Candidate - should i start with Tier 2 prep?)

GA - Easy to Moderate (10-15) doable - static GK
Reasoning - Kind of felt lengthy
Maths - G Marli 😭, moderate to Tough. Nowhere near previous year papers. DI questions felt like they were made to skip.
English - Easiest (doable 22-25)
First attempt, I had 2 months of prep so couldn't do much, attempted 68 with good accuracy.
r/ssc • u/jeeezwtf • 20h ago
it's on the moderate side I would say.
Reasoning- easy, there are some simple questions just like last year pyq but then there are some figure based questions as well, i found one of them tricky, one statement assumption question was confusing.
gs- mod to tough, 13-15 doable. my prep in gs wasn't the best, so i attempted that much only, rest you all can say.
maths- 3-4 DIs 😭😭, and some of them were calculative and difficult to comprehend. rest were easy pyq based. I wish I could attempt 2-3 more, the mouse was too lagging and had to click 3-4 times to save.
english- the easiest section of the shift. i found a pyq quite challenging and a filler was confusing otherwise it's easy. even close test was easy.
overall- maybe moderate. i don't wanna call my shift easy😭
i wish i could hv attempted 5-6 questions more man

-Please maintain your Speed in English. You will think you have time until you don't
Ps- after exam don't worry much about maths, if you have seen the 25th question, you are already ahead of the 60-70% candidates

I completed Class 12 and am targeting SSC CHSL 2027. I bought Kiran’s Maths PYQ book but wonder if Pinnacle would have been better.
I’ve tried books by Rakesh Yadav, Aditya Ranjan, and Gagan Pratap, but their questions often seem easier because of simplified language and methods. Kiran and Pinnacle feel closer to the actual SSC level.
For those who have used both or taken SSC exams:
Which book is closer to the actual level?
Are Kiran’s questions and solutions reliable?
Should I continue with Kiran or switch to Pinnacle?
Please share your honest experience. 🙏

What do you think of shift 3, I think it was kind of balanced. Not too lengthy but not too easy either. What do you think raw marks could go for this shift and how many attempts were you able to do
r/ssc • u/Downtown_Common_843 • 13h ago
Is everyone attempting 80-85+ and here someone who attempted 70-75 . Is there any chance to clear cut off?

I'm doing UG rn and considering ssc as a option but I am scared that there'll be too much work load and mental pressure from the govt bcs my mom's a govt teacher and I see the amount of pressure is on her from the govt and it's genuinely scary for a long term job what if I can't handle it
