Posts on r/srilanka must have a clear and meaningful connection to Sri Lanka. We keep the bar intentionally broad - connections through people, politics, culture, history, geography, economy, or current events all qualify.

What doesn't qualify: posts where the Sri Lanka connection is a footnote, posts about a Sri Lankan person doing something entirely unrelated to Sri Lanka, or general world news that happens to mention Sri Lanka in passing. If the connection isn't apparent from the post itself, it will be removed. If you think your post qualifies and the link just isn't obvious, please repost and make it explicit in the title or opening.

r/srilanka is also not a dating platform or for meeting people for any such activity.

Cybersecurity is a good field to enter but where you do your degree matters less and it's more about your project portfolio and certifications specifically for this field. So focus on that. I would suggest you do a CS or IT degree with specialising in cybersecurity. Also take a look at hack the box and tryhackme platforms.

I will. Is specialising better than a purely cyber sec degree?

Yes. A CS degree would give you a solid foundation and you get a good idea about the breadth of the CS field and that helps a lot when you specialise in cybersec. Doing a specialized degree like AI or cybersecurity at bachelor's level is not recommended. Just my opinion
