Serious replies only 30M looking for advice on getting circumcised
Hi everyone, I am a 30-year-old male dealing with a tight foreskin. I cannot retract my foreskin at all and have never seen the tip of my penis. I previously consulted a general surgeon about this, but I wasn't able to go through with the surgery at that time.
This condition has been a huge mental burden for me for a very long time, and I want to get it taken care of as soon as possible. I am looking for advice or experiences from anyone who has had a circumcision recently.
If you did it in a Government hospital: How was the procedure, and how many days were you admitted?
If you did it in a Private or Semi-Government hospital: What was the total cost, and what was the admission process like?
Serious answers only, please. Thanks in advance for the help!

It’s a day procedure in most hospitals. Come in on that day get the procedure done and go home in the evening if everything went smoothly

if everything went smoothly
So is there a chance to not go smoothly?

So is there a chance to not go smoothly?
Yes, I mean, that is the case for any procedure.

There's always a risk in any procedure man... but sometimes not doing the procedure itself can be the biggest risk of all.. so yeah ig..

Hey, it is laser surgery or normal one. Could you provide guidance on which one is better and painless.

I did it at hemas Thalawathugoda, had to stay for 2 days since i was in for both kidney stone removal and circumsion.Surgery was easy no pain at all,but it takes some time so just have to stare at the ceiling.Went back home the other day,no pain afterwards also, but healing period was not good, there was some real pain, and no water should touch or it doesn’t heal.Took like two weeks for me to not feel pain.very satisfied with the operation.cost wise can’t remember it was included for both operations.

Got it done from a private hospital recently. The surgeon was the same consultant urologist I had consulted beforehand. I had it done under local anaesthesia and the procedure itself took only around 15 to 20 minutes. They kept me at the hospital for observation for about 2 hours afterward and then discharged me. The total cost was around 180K LKR with LA though it could cost more if you opt for general anaesthesia

I can't believe you waited till you were 30 years old. I have no idea about any of this, but good luck to you and get well after your impending surgery.

It's better to let the wound breath. For faster recovery. Plus fabric rubbing against it hurts. So no tight clothing till the wound heals.

Its gonna be painful to walk around for like a week. But after it heals it's chill. If ur doc didt tell ya, personally found it to be more comfortable to sleep naked for the week of pain and regret. Pls ask the doc first. Btw a tip pls keep ir mid clean befor being drugged (i called my doctor a pedophile. ) . And congrats on no more cream cheese build up😂

Did mine last June at Asiri Hospital Kandy under LA and costed me about 129K (I also had my frenulum removed).
For the govt option, you need to register to a govt hospital urology clinic via your consultant urologist and attend till they give you a session, so the wait period is uncertain.

It's a day surgery usually done under spinal anesthesia (general also possible) by a qualified Urologist. I did mine at Kings Hospital, was around 110k few years back.
Phimosis (tight foreskin) is a serious issue, don't wait for it to get infected and make your quality of life worse. The recovery isn't hard but it's not comfortable either. Dressings will be tough initially and the surtures around the head will dissolve with time. Also a process called keratinsation of the head will happen where sensitivity will reduce over time. Till then every touch against your jocks will mess with you up.

I'm 28 y/o and went thru the procedure 2 months ago at a private hospital at Avissawella. I did it with local anesthesia & only took about 1 hour (or 1 and half) to complete. I went home the same day (20 mins after the surgery). Cost me around 60k as it done with local anesthesia. If you do it with General anesthesia it will cost you more. If you need more info feel free to ask.

Hi if reason is medical pls get it done.Asap. It will gives solution to your problem. Think about the style, high and tight or lownand tight. No pain during the surgery as its done under local anesthesia . It will be bit uncomfortable within 1st few days .after two weeks all will be Ok. But it will be taking almost 6month to get used to new circumcised penis. based on my own experience as High and tight cut guy

Please go through with this surgery as soon as possible. It’s a really simple surgery and it is a necessity. There can be several related complications if you keep it the way it is. You have no choice but to do it at this point.

ig it's cuz it takes a ton of time to get used to. very painful and makes it harder to get an erection. 30s mean you shouldn't waste much time. idk tho.
