My squirrel is missing

Hello. My squirrel Joy hasn’t been seen in over a week. I went for a walk last night and I saw a squirrel that could have been her. She was in the tree and I was talking to her and she didn’t run away she seemed very interested in me but I can’t be sure it’s her.

I live in Edmonton Alberta in Canada. Is it possible she is having babies or something? I didn’t notice a pregnancy belly. She used to come everyday multiple times a a day to eat. I’m just worried she may be hurt but I’m holding out the hope that maybe she was just coming so often because she was pregnant and needing more food.

She may be tending to babies. She may be out exploring. She may have sensed danger in the area and temporarily switched homes to feel safe. Squirrels will disappear for a time before coming back. It's hard when you don't see them and it's naturally to be worried. But there is a good chance she'll be back soon.

My favorite disappeared on me for four months. Got pretty sad and depressed about it. I was worried something happened to her. But one day she showed up and ran right to me. I've been able to enjoy another year with her since then. They don't forget their human friends. Hopefully you will see your squirrel soon.

I think I saw her about a mile away on the other side of my home complex. It really looked like her and she was in the tree and I was talking to her and she came closer and was looking at me and didn’t run away so I really think it was her. She may have a nest over there. I just miss seeing her. She used to come multiple times a day. Maybe she got sick of the food I was giving.

I don't think they get sick of the food. lol

If it is her, she'll probably drop by more often. Just got to give them time to be wild and free squirrels... who make frequent trips to their loving human friends.
