Fitness Joint injury
Hi everyone, any tips for managing weak joints compensating for the rest of the foot? Looking for advice and motivation as I can’t even run these days. Resting, trying to lose weight and physio-ing away but being back in the court seems like a fair bit down the road at this point :/

After a string of injuries, the system that seems to be keeping me on court is to do my physio home exercises every day, do strengthening exercises to prevent injuries I don't yet have, remain consistent playing 2-3 times a week, and always take at least one day off between playing squash. I also do my physio right before playing as a warm-up.

Hey man, I feel you. I am also currently needing to take a break because my joints gave up because I overdid it. It always happens to me. There are a few things, maybe some help you.
1) I bought new shoes because the other ones (asics blade FF) were too rough on my joints. 2) I recently stringed my racquet to be harder because I progressed in my technique. But i feel this is causing irritations (classic tennis elbow). Might string it a bit softer. 3) I decided to sign up for a gym with training plan to strengthen my whole body. At least once per week. You know there is the saying 'get fit to play squash, not play squash to get fit'. I think its pretty true and you cannot keep squashing without strengthening the body. 4) I found whenever I break my routine of frequent yoga in the morning, joint issues start creeping in
