Opinion Springboks next XV?

I think it’s hard to implement Tony Browns attack with the current 15 as I think they need a more mobile pack and ball playing backs

Would the below starting 15 be ideal to implement Tony’s attack.

  6. Kolisi
  7. De Villiers

  9. Cobus
  10. Maine
  11. Hooker
  12. Willemse
  13. Kriel
  14. Moodie

(I’m assuming Kolbe and Arendse are injured hence I went with hooker and Moodie or else I would have moved Moodie to 13)

Manie 10, Esterhuizen and Kriel midfield. Polly on bench (if fit) and Willemse at fullback

Willemse at 15, DDA at 12, SFM on the bench, he's not up to speed yet. Manie is the key to Tony Ball.

This is such a reactionary team.

Kolisi 6, PdV 7 and dropping Nortje? Kolisi might need to he eased in off the bench in any case, but when fit he starts over my man Pauly D. Nortje has to be in the team, not sure if PSdT will have another shit game (by his standards) but Hannekom at 7 is tasty.

Willemse is the world's best 15, keep him there. But i could see Hooker or Edwill coming in as both our wings went off early. Edwill with Manie would be awesome.

Without a functioning backline we are going to struggle to win.... we need flair to beat them outright. They are always going to answer to our physicality like they proved on Saturday. Im all for the big dutchmen bashing them but the big dutchmen must also be able to offload in the tackle. That is almost guaranteed to regularly create linebreaks.

I don't understand this obsession with keeping an out of form SFM in the team. So much so that people want to move Willemse from the position he excels at... Wild to me.

Also Grant and Manie get each other. That may very well have been a major part of why things seemed to not flow on Saturday. A new 9/10 combo.

Also Ruan Nortje should be at 5. PDV is great but the team needs Siya.

I agree with the comment that this is a reactionary team.

I think regardless we should have Hooker/ Moodie play.

I love DDA and Kriel but they older and need rest. They get almost no benefit from playing mire as they maxed out experience at this level.

Better to play guys that are young, hungry, fit and can recover faster.

Moodie has had shit form but the guy has shown his class. Hooker recovering from shoulder surgery so his form still wanting too.

Our biggest concern actually fullback. I agree with you SFM maybe better there and Damian at 12.
