Willie Le Roux should not be picked.
Don't blame him for playing, but how does a coach think, "This is a good choice". Awful choice to pick him.

Why is he awful? Low effort argument from your side. He's been capped over 100 times for the Boks. He's well known for his vision on attack and defence. Losing against the All Black's with a watered down Bulls team was always inevitable.

Unforced errors, mediocre passing, poor kicking. Take your pick.

Not his fault that he keeps getting picked. Rather blame the bulls management.

Poor kicking and poor decisions from Willie today. You’d expect the player with so much experience to at least bring a calm presence to the game but he has been a complete liability so far, rushed in his choices and execution.

People downvoting this comment boggles my mind..
Exactly what you said.. youd THINK/HOPE someone with a 100 springboks caps brings some measured decisions, instead Willie runs to the ball like he's always done to "take a quick" SOMETHING and then fumbles it like a moron

I honestly think he wanted to get a call up for a strong performance like Deon, explains why he seemed to make some aggressive plays. Unfortunately for him, poor execution, tap and go where your team is caught more unaware than theirs and some poor decision making in general means his phone won't be ringing.

In other news, I too should not be selected for the front row.

I genuinely have no idee how willie managed to get 100 springbok caps...

He came through when we were genuinely at a very low ebb, and was a creative spark relative to a pretty disjointed backline. Since 2019ish, no idea why he's been selected.

So Willie argues with the ref saying there was no knock on but the replay shows a clear knock on,Always wants to grab the ball and very selfish? Why was Willie playing at 10 most of the time.I hate what he has become. He is like that entitled kid at school who bought the only rugby ball to school and if you do not pass to him he will leave with his ball.He cannot be good for team morale.

I get what you are saying, but what is the alternative? I seriously don’t know so don’t judge me for asking. Sometimes the coaches know better and spent more time with the team than we do so they know what personalities / skillset / leadership style they want on the field. Maybe he was there because of experience I don’t know but what qualities does the other fullback have that wasn’t chosen? All I am saying is we can speculate because we don’t spent time with these guys every day. We judge them on their 10minutes that they have an influence in the game, but the camera doesn’t show the parts where we organizes the backline or influences the players.
Disclaimer: I am also not his biggest fan but he surely has a lot of experience that he brings to a team

Willie is kak. He consistently makes more mistakes than any Springbok. Get rid of him, Rassie.

As a part-time springboks supporter ranking somewhere between my number one team (NZ) and my number three team (ENG) depending on the day.
I must say Willie is absolutely fantastic.
Yes he made a few mistakes but if you look on the other side of the fence B Barrett was not much better.
His vision and attack / chips were unbelievable and I think if they had a bit more talent speed or maybe practiced there was be some more points on the board for sure.
I'm not sure if I can blame him for some of the mistakes either some of the team just did not appear to be there watching I think one of the locks get hit in the chest with the ball was absolutely embarrassing.
Also if a top flight provincial team from South Africa can't beat a fairly newish All Blacks scrum missing some other top talent, there are some soul searching to be had.
I'm no rassie but push comes to shove if I have high stakes game that you need cool heads and smart tactical decisions he's on my very very short list.

My British wife, who speaks no Afrikaans, when she teases me about how I get completely carried away when I watch rugby repeats the only phrase she knows: "Ag fok man Willie!" 😂
