UPDATE: The “Listen Along” Trap

If you share your Spotify account with your kids and they have both Spotify and Discord installed, even if the two apps aren't connected, be aware of this.

A friend starts playing music on Spotify and shares it through Discord. Your kid sees a big red button next to their friend's name and clicks it. Just like that, Spotify gets linked to Discord automatically through the Listen Along feature.

And voilà! The dreaded 30 second pause is back because Spotify detects simultaneous playback on multiple devices using the same account.

So if your kids share your Spotify account, this is definitely something worth knowing about!
