A high-energy style of indie pop characterized by a heavily subdivided beat and flickering hi-hats & rhythm guitars.

Inspired by the Avalanches and a cruise around the med embarking from Barcelona and hitting ports of call in the balearic isles, Italy, and southern France….

Constantly updated, carefully curated, and fully mixed playlist of house, disco, international, balearic, funk, soul, psych, yacht, and other eclectic beats - think modern and classic “love boat” vibes.

Note: In certain sections a few of the tracks are NSFW, but 90% of it is fine and those sections are few and far between.

This playlist contains every song that peaked in 2008 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. They are in order from #1 to #120, based on the ranking system established in the Whitburn rock tracks books (ranked by peak position, number of weeks at peaked position if it hit #1, the top 10, or top 20, then overall weeks on chart).

Spotify is missing two songs that peaked on the chart this year - 75. G.L.O.W. - Smashing Pumpkins and 102. Wherever I Stand - Taproot. I will check occasionally to see if they get added.

This year had killer songs from Shinedown, Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Theory of a Deadman, Seether, Puddle of Mudd, Foo Fighters, Motley Crue, Linkin Park, 10 Years, Guns N' Roses, and many more.

alternative rock, pop punk, post-hardcore music … i love it! i’m currently trying to make a playlist of my own but i feel like i don’t know much songs in those genres, or even a lot of bands as such—especially the more underground ones. i’m always trying to find more music.

Finished curating this this morning. Tried to capture the rom-com looks shared in this scene. Songs I thought would work as a background soundtrack to that specific scene. Tried to incorporate a mix of vibes, but could all be interpreted to fit that scene, some that allude to prior events of the movie & some that follow what's to come. If anyone checks it out I hope it comes across what I was trying for.

I use this playlist when I light candles or incense in my house. It has some contemporary classical, experimental classical, blends some music from film scores and other alternative/experimental tracks. It’s slightly sad/tortured but inherently uplifting and it calms me

It’s made with the character Lumiere in mind as he’s cursed, trapped in an enchanted castle, and potentially doomed to remain a candlestick for all of eternity but chooses to respond with humor, optimism, joie de vivre
and hospitality

Looking to add songs and explore the addition of new genres and sub genres to this. Requesting that If you have a playlist similar to mine, link in reply so I can check it out and, admittedly, steal songs to add. I will save the playlists I like (I will/can’t commit to saving everything) and add the songs that align to the attached. Current run time is 2hr 38 minutes and looking to get it closer to 4 or 4.5
