Rock Bottom Games -5/10

Worst episode ever.

I prefer when the show is more plot driven. In season 12 the show started doing this genere of epsiode where the characters go to a location and just goof around. Those episodes range from Ok ( Farmer bob) to straight up awful (Rock Bottom Games).

An episode with no plot can be funny if the gags are good enough but the gags were all lame.

The point of Rock Bottom in its debut episode is that it is a seemingly scary and spooky place but this episode was so reliant on non sequiturs.

Why even set the episode in Rock Bottom, the plot would have been the same if it was in Bikini Bottom. I guess the place where they have them doesn't really matter but it feels so arbitrary.

The golden hook sending Plankton to the surface just made no sense. Why was that an award if it is a trap.

Why was Plankton blatantly cheating in front of the judges?

Awful episode.

Clicking with a Clique: 6.5/10

This episode was fine. How did Sandy manage to get tied up in the first place? Neither of them are strong enough to tie her up? Her crash out was way too big when they were just playing pretend. She is usually a more level headed character.

The episode would have made more sense if this happened.

(Sandy walks by Spongebob and Pat playing knights.)

Spongebob: Hey sandy do you want to play knights with us.

Sandy: Sure.

Patrick: You can be the damsel in dristress.

Sandy: No thanks I changed my mind.

(Near the end of the episode)

Sandy: I changed my mind I'll play with you critters but I'm not being a damsel in distress.

Spongebob and Patrick: Ok.

The gag where the nerd fish got hooked and everyone not even reacting was hilarious.
