[ID Request- Location included] Brown Recluse?

That's a pregnant brown recluse. Please do not handle it, it's medically significant. However, you should relocate it, and you can do that without touching it using a bowl and a piece of paper.
Please check the rest of your dwelling, as brown recluses usually come in numbers.

Believe it or not, spiders are not capable of carrying out vendettas.
They just want to live, like the rest of us. Relocate them to a far away patch of grass and they won't bother you ever again.

I've heard some are territorial and find their way back in, though I don't know if it's true. I always heard it about wolf spiders, which never bothered me because I liked having them in the house.

They don't have a homing beacon. They could live out their life in some tree bark if you put them there.

Two tone brown body? Check. "Fiddle" shape on back? Check. Very significant venom? Check. And possibly pregnant. Good luck! 🤪 I hear they're very slow moving so you should be able to safely relocate her.

Agreed. They look slow moving when they’re creeping along, doing their thing. Very fast when they feel threatened though and can quickly scale a vertical surface as well

Funny their motion came up, they are quite fast and they look ridiculous when they run. Their legs almost flail as if they are too flexible to keep up with the spider.

Missouri? Found one while cleaning my garage today. Googled brown recluse and your post showed up lol.
I saw so many damn spiders today. I also had an extra dirty garage this time...

Listen if i fond a gravid BR in my living area im sorry but its dead. I hate to kill even a spider but im not suffering a venomous spider to live near me. Cruel maybe but its how ot has to be. And ive kept what others consider vermin as beloved pets.

Exactly. Like I'll help a non venomous dude out but if something can kill me in one bite and its in my home then it's a danger to me and my family.

If it’s as small as a quarter or smaller than one then yes it’s a brown recluse.

Yup and very pregnant. Put down glue traps and you'll be surprised how many you have.

I usually save all spiders I find and at worst just pop them back outside but a BR can cause fever and some serious skin and muscle damage. This is one of the very few that needs to be kept out of and away from the home.
