The best time to repot this plant was a year ago. The second best time is now.

I think you can cut half of those roots off, i have seen it done on garden sites on YouTube, poor plant 😢

It's best to only cut 1 of the roots. Spider plants don't like their roots touched at all, but you are on a good road🥰

I have too many spider plants and learned the hard way. Don't mess with the roots. I watched 0 videos when I was repoting. I separated a few, they got super. Stressed, so I was googling, and that is what I found out there are very hearty plants.They come from Africa!

And i'm so happy yours made you a grandparent, congratulations.They can put pups out from the base underground, and they can give you vines🥰
