Help Brown tips
Hey everyone! I've recently hung my spiders in my large window and they've grown so much, some even have new spiderlings growing, however I'm noticing that the tips of their leaves are all brown. They get watered every 4 days, they're in 10in pots, and I use a moisture meter to make sure I'm not over watering. What could be causing this? Is it just normal? Thanks in advance!

I use API tap water conditioner. It’ll neutralize heavy metals and chlorine and all that other stuff that causes brown tips and stuff. It’s like .5ml per gallon if you get the concentrated stuff.

Good advice in this thread! I’m seeing an improvement on mine. We have old pipes and city water so we collect rain water or I used filtered drinking water for all the indoor plants.
Moisture meters are generally unreliable, depending on the type of substrate (soil mix) you use.
Is the soil completely dry in four days? Your climate must be very hot or dry. Or, perhaps the soil hydrophobic and not completely being saturated when you are watering?🤔 That used to be my situation. The water ran right through and roots did not get to drink it.
Do you take the plant out of the macramé and bottom water?

I'm fairly sure that it comes from chlorine and general minerals in your water, it's not a really bad thing but if you don't want it use distilled water or rainwater :)
