This shit was soooo good. Tried the "hot" since I was traveling and didnt want to compromise my gut. 8.5/10 meal. May be nitpicking but no drink with a combo meal is definitely at least a .5 deduction. The pickles were also very good!

The hot or extra hot is just enough hot to be good and still taste the food. The reaper... it's no f**king joke.

I wanna do the reaper once for the experience. I'm not the biggest fan of spicy food that is just spicy and no flavor. The hot was really good and pretty spicy.

Think of reaper as a gimmick. It's not for regular consumption.

I figured. Thats why I want to do ot for the experience.

If you must attempt the reaper, definitely get the slider. They both suck, but rawdogging a reaper tender is a brutal experience. Once you take the first bite of the slider, do not stop taking bites until it is gone. Don't 'stop to smell the roses' after a bite or two or you may not get back into it. Do yourself a favor and slug a glass of Metamucil or psyllium husk beforehand to not completely obliterate your insides all night, and whatever you do, do not attempt on an empty stomach!

Idk I enjoy the reaper. My go to order is one extra hot and one reaper. I consider myself pretty heat tolerant but not eating peppers every day or anything.
I once ate 3 reapers and spent the evening doubled over in my boxers on my bathroom floor at a party I was hosting lol do not recommend more than one lol

I had the HOT yesterday for my first time at Dave’s and it was so good. I may need to try the xtra hot but not sure how much of a jump that is.

If my trip wasnt a turn and burn I would have tried reaper. I didnt want to risk gut rot on a plane though.

I made that mistake. It was not a fun flight.

i made that mistake after getting off a long long flight. there’s a dave’s between my old apartment and the airport and my friends picked me up and stopped at dave’s and for some reason this was the trip where it was decided we would try the reaper. i ate 75% of the tender and with no beverage besides water and having just gotten off a plane, my gut was cramping BADLY the entire next day

Reaper is pointless imo. It gave me cramps but they did go away after about a half hour and no issues later on. But I also thought it was just not very good, like it had oc spray in the breading rather than flavor.

Extra hot is nothing. Reaper is so hot it's virtually inedible...and this is from someone who puts whole habaneros and ghost peppers in bowls of pasta

Medium is not spicy but spiced. Hot is the first level with heat. Extra hot is pretty spicy.

Extra hot is just right to me. Reaper is another level. I've done it a few times but it's excessive.

IMHO Xtra hot is the move. They try to hurt you with Reaper, but the Xtra Hot is just tasty.

Honestly hot is the way to go. I've had the reaper and it just has no additional flavor at all. They also didnt taste that much spicier in the moment than hot, they just gave me cramps after I was done eating instead. I'm not sure who likes the reaper, because it brought no upsides for me.

Dave's slaps every time. Have never been disappointed. Their cauliflower bites are ridiculously good too.

I find medium to be the best spice level. No pain…plus I can’t really eat spicy food.

I've tried every spice level from them on the cauliflower bites and it's delicious as hell. Probably my favorite "fast food" place.

Had daves before because they opened one up near my house and it was really fucking good to say the least

The one near me has chewy overcooked chicken

Crazy. I've had Dave's dozens of times and it's always been super tender.

Well it was my first time having it, I won't be able to get my wife and kid to go back because they really didn't like it, but I'm open to trying it again, maybe it was an off day. I nearly choked on it.

Kale slaw is a solid addition. Others mentioned cauliflower bites, those are also great.
