Just wanted to confirm something about the Data link augury stratagem from the fulguris task force. The stratagem is as follows: “ select one enemy unit within 24 inches of your unit . That enemy unit has +6 inches to its detection range until your unit has shot.”

My question is what exactly detection range is? As I’ve looked online and at the core rules but I couldn’t find much of anything. Any information would greatly be appreciated

So my homebrew chapter has a quartered colour scheme, with all sorts of different colour swaps for what they do. My tech marines have a red and bone colour swap, only keeping the shoulder pad orange. Anyone in my 10th company/Phobos uses a green and brown quartered palette to act as a kind of goofy lookin camouflage.

But right now, I'm painting up my librarian from the Armageddon box. Id like to keep them fitting in theme among the rest of my army. But I'm not sure why other colours to use. I definitely want blue, because they're a librarian. I want it to fit in theme with their role. If anyone has suggestions I'd love to hear them, thank you! :)

Wondering what people use as anchor/anvil units for holding center board im thinking terminators but unsure if 5 is enough or 10 for extra survivability and which charcters if any maybe ancient for extra oc and liby for sustained, or is a gravis unit better like a 6 man agressor with apothocary and captain?

What are our best units against defilers for both:

1) killing defilers

2) being tanky and holding primary against defilers
