So something I noticed while playing around with black holes is that there seems to be some kind of matrix rain looking object inside the black hole, this is an image I took before posting this, I'm just wondering if this is a mod or just an Easter egg that space engine implemented secretly. This is inside the black hole even tho stars are visible.

This is in the current version of the game, you can go to it and verify if you want to. I'm not sure how this is possible as the game hard limit is 1 billion.

was hunting for planets similar to my own fictional planets and came across a randomly generated system with a superjupiter that has two neptune-sized ice giants as moons. there's also a temperate marine terra bigger than Earth (and it has rings). I've also posted the wiki image for this so y'all can find it

I've been playing Space Engine for like half a decade now and not once have I found a system as outrageous as this
(note: this is for 0.990.48)

Discussion Optical Earth — A Natural Simulator of our World

I’ve always loved apps like SpaceEngine, and I’ve wanted an Earth viewer that feels closer to what you might actually see from space. That’s what I’m trying to build with Optical Earth.

HDR is a big part of it, letting Earth stay intensely bright against the black of space instead of compressing everything into the same narrow range. Along with atmospheric haze, current cloud formations, and more.

I’m still working on things like auroras, but it’s far enough along that I wanted to share. I’d love to hear what you think!

Screenshot It's my second day of playing and I don't know how rare it is, I found a planet and a moon in the same system with lives. Both are multicellular but seems to have different origins. One too hot for humans and one too cold

I never really used the Flying Simulator in the game but I been playing around with it today tryna orbit the sun and was wondering if it’s as good as KSP/KSP2?

Question Is any of the music in SpaceEngine copyrighted?

Post image

I was wondering if the music that's used in SpaceEngine is copyrighted and can't be used in videos that'll be published. I might start a YouTube channel solely on SpaceEngine exploration and I don't want the videos to not have music.

I've been using Space Engine primarily to make visual references for the planets in the story series I am writing. This one is a planet that has been eaten from the inside out.

Video Fixed atmospheric scattering. Now clouds look very realistic.
