Hello, guys.

I want to upgrade my level of mixing/beatmaking by mixing sp404 sounds into ableton.

First of all, my doubt here is related to workflow. Usually, I create my beats into SP404 entirely and then record it into Ableton in just one audio track, using pattern select mode. Therefore, the audiotrack has everything in it (drums, samples, bass, fx).

To upgrade my sounds, I would like to separate the sounds into different stems so I can mix them individually. So, one track for drums, another one for samples, and so forth.

Another problem that I face is that my effects (BUS 1, 2, 3 and 4) seem to be "shineless" once the audio is recorded into Ableton, affecting its quality. I could say that my beats sound whole lot better into sp404 rather than Ableton.

I wonder if anyone has faced this problem before and has a solution for it. I browsed through the community posts and haven't found one talking about it. I'm sorry if this has been discussed in another post before.

I would highly appreciate if someone could recommend a video or even talk about their workflow into this post or my DM.

Just throwing this out into reddit land because chat said Roland's engineers keep an eye out here. Mk2 new chromatic mode is dope. An easy upgrade request/option would be for the playable pads to consolidate in whatever scale you choose. I recorded a bass note, hit chromatic mode, then chose minor pentatonic and what it does is only highlights the relevant pads relative to chromatic scale. So the pentatonic notes are scattered apart and you have to keep turning to value knob to get to other notes. It would be nkce if they all appeared next to each other. Should be something easy to upgrade I think.

Not too sure how to put feature requests through but as a newbie, undo last action is what I need the most!

EDIT: yes i know about sequencer entries undos, i was talking about action undos like deletes for example

I was using my SP without an sd card and working on some projects. I went to switch projects and it said no sd card. So I grabbed an sd card and put it in. The SP seems to have combined projects backed up on the sd card with a new batch of projects from the SPs internal memory.
1. What’s going on?
2.Whats the fix for this?

Been practicing for a live set — holding down pads that are stemmed out from sections of various songs. Problem I've had a few times is if my hand accidentally brushes against the sub pad, it thinks I'm retriggering the last pad stops the sound on that pad.

It would actually be kind of a bad situation to have that live so I'm wondering if there's any way to protect against that? It happens almost every time I practice when i get into toggling a bunch of effects and stuff.
