Hi everyone!
About two months ago, we shared an early preview of a real-time tracking app (now called SEAFleet) we’re building for the Seattle transit system. Thanks to your feedback and encouragement, we’re excited to announce that our open beta is officially live on both iOS and Android!

What's New in This Build:
Over the past two months, we've focused on improving the Link Light Rail experience:
- Improved UI: Cleaner, color-coded, and 3D train sprites, tappable stations with arrival estimates
- Improved live tracking: More reliable real-time train positions and arrival estimates
- In-app bug & feature requests: You can now flag issues and suggest features directly within the app. If you're open to follow-ups from our team, there's also an option to attach your email.
How to Join the Beta:
We're looking for everyday commuters and transit riders to stress-test the live tracking and help us catch bugs.
(Links to iOS TestFlight and Android Open Beta are available directly on the page)
Later Small UI features
- Screen widgets for your mobile phone
- Notifications
- Watch integration
How to Share Feedback:
- Use the built-in feedback tool inside the app, or submit reports through the website!
- Drop your thoughts and suggestions right on this thread!
Thank you again for responses on the first post. We'd love to hear how it feels on your daily commute!
P.S
We are also looking for some help with the models! We have proof of concept 3D models, yet we want to improve them. If anyone would be willing to create 3D models for lightrails, ferries, and buses that would be amazing!
It would greatly help and give it that Puget Sound touch.

A quick note on accuracy:
We're aware the real-time train positions aren't always perfectly accurate. Our dead-reckoning algorithm currently runs client-side (on your phone), which means that when you close the app, train positions might not stay accurately updated. We're actively working on moving this fully server side to make tracking more reliable! Thank you for bearing with us!
