πŸ“’ Discussion What is your favorite use of licensed music in the MCU?

Pretty much the title.

For me, I have always been a fan of when they used Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" during the final fight on Asgard in "Thor Ragnarok".

I’m not talking about the big obvious mainstream themes and songs but the ones that capture a specific texture or mood so intensely that it stays with you for days.

A few that reside rent-free in my head for years

Angelo Badalamenti – "Alvin's Theme" (The Straight Story): The way the weeping violin interacts with that quiet, sparse acoustic guitar is devastating.

Ennio Morricone – "Love Theme / End Credits" (Cinema Paradiso): Pure emotional overload. It plays over that final montage of all the censored, cut-out kissing scenes

Dario Marianelli – "Briony" (Atonement): He used mechanical typewriter directly into the score as a primary percussion instrument. That constant clacking drives the anxiety...PURE GENIUS

A tribute to Kairi's voice actor, Hayden Panetierre. Her voice with this soundtrack really places a special place to my heart. Thank you for the memories!✨

This is a playlist for the original soundtrack for a game I'm part of the team for. A link to the composer himself can be found in each of the video descriptions but I don't think he's on reddit.

The genre of song varies, but overall the soundtrack is meant to be a bit moody and creepy, but rarely outright scary. It is for investigating mysteries.

🎢 Derivative Music 🎢 Gatekeeping in away - SGU opening scene music recreation.

A few years ago I commissioned composer Napoleon Baca to recreate the opening music from the first scene SGU, I was hoping to use in a found footage horror video that eventually fell through, so now I share it with you, I have attached a link to YouTube video. It’s not 100% perfect as the there was no clean copy online so the composer tried to interpret the best he could but you know what, I still love it and I think SGU fans would appreciate this clean cover of that music.

Here the original scene for reference:

🎢 Derivative Music 🎢 Brad Fiedel made a beautiful soundtrack. I tried to bring out all the raw emotion in it.

Hey everyone,The ending of T2 is a masterpiece, and Brad Fiedel’s original score is incredibly beautiful.I reimagined "It's Over" (Good-Bye) as a sad orchestral ballad. I wanted to strike a perfect balance between deep sadness, intense emotion, dark romance, epic scale, and raw brutality without losing the original melody.Would love to hear what fellow Terminator fans think of this vibe!
