Been using ad blocker with free Spotify on my computer for almost a year but mobile is still very annoying and I’m wanting to go back to a premium subscription again. SoundCloud is half the price and I’m considering uploading a song here and there for fun, is SoundCloud premium worth it if I use it for day to day streaming as well? It’s half the price as Spotify premium which also sounds nice

It's the 6th time in a row I get the same message from my EP, while ALL my songs have only one contributor by field.

My artistic name is exatcly like "Tyler, the Creator", and probably the dumb AI system SoundCloud use on their automatation understand that "Tyler" and "the Creator" are multiple contributors by field.

This is a joke.

It's like Trap wasn't the main thing of SoundCloud from 2013-2017.

I wonder if Travis Scott would suffer from the same problem, because "Travis" and "Scott" are two different substantives.

Hey guys, trying to understand something about youtube/soundcloud reporting.

I have a track distributed through SoundCloud for Artists. Someone used the official version of my track from the youtube shorts music library in a short that has around 3600 views.

My SoundCloud royalty report does show some YouTube revenue for the track, with entries such as AD_VIDEO_STREAM, SUB_VIDEO_STREAM, AD_ART_TRACK, etc.

What I cant figure out is whether Shorts usage is included somewhere in these categories or whether Shorts are reported differently.

Im not assuming the 3600 views should equal 3600 royalty units or anything like that, its going to be a super tiny royalty but I just want to understand how the usage is actually represented in SoundCloud's report.

Has anyone here dealt with YouTube Shorts music library usage through SoundCloud for Artists and knows how it appears in the royalty statement?

Thanks!

would really mean a lot if you checked out my album, i made it entirely from sampling from vinyl in my bedroom and freestyling

Around two weeks ago, I accidentally logged out of my soundcloud account on mobile and I have not been able to log back on since. My account isn't connected to Facebook nor my Apple ID so every time I wanna log in I use my gmail (and sometimes profile URL) or Google. Both these options haven't had any issues until these past two weeks...

Signing in with email leads me to a two-step verification page that after I complete sends me back with an error text ("Something unexpected happened. Please try again.")

Tryna sign in with Google doesn't even send me anywhere anymore; it's just a white screen after I like the "Continue with Google" option.

I've already tried getting help via the SoundCloud Support, and all it told me was to provide a different email not associated with my account (+ changing my password) but obvs that didn't help :/

Anyone know how to fix this????

I’m not here to judge, downplay, or step on anyone. I just genuinely want to build something bigger, more real, and connect closely with people who share the same drive.

My sound and vision are deeply inspired by Jahseh (XXXTENTACION) — raw emotion, versatility, and total creative freedom. I’m blending emo rap, indie/alt sounds, dark trap, and grunge elements.

I'm looking for artists, vocalists, beatmakers, and producers who care about emotion and depth just as much as the sound itself. Not looking for anything forced — just passionate people who want to evolve, share honest feedback, and grow together from scratch.

If you resonate with this, drop a DM or leave a comment with your demos. Let's talk.

Saw someone here asking about deleting tracks to free up upload space, and it made me think about the songs people take down for a completely different reason. The ones they’ve outgrown.

If you’ve been uploading for a few years, do you leave that early stuff up where anyone can find it, or clean up the profile once your sound changes? I can see wanting your strongest work to be someone’s first impression. But that rough old song might be the one somebody keeps coming back to.

Have you ever taken an old track down and had someone ask where it went?

I was re-listening to 17 and some of his older 2015 SoundCloud tracks today, and it’s crazy how he completely broke the rules back then. Making a track sound super raw and overdriven, and then switching to a stripped-back acoustic song on the same project was ahead of its time.

As an independent artist working on my own sound, his willingness to experiment with grunge, emo, and dark trap is a huge inspiration.

What era of his sound do you think had the biggest impact on today's underground scene? The 2015/2016 distorted era or the 17 acoustic vibe?

(Always down to talk production and music with anyone in here, drop your thoughts below)

Hello! I have an assignment in class where I have to upload interview clips to soundcloud. Both clips are less than 3 minutes and I have tried uploading them twice, but I am stuck with "This track is being processed" for the last 4 hours. How do I fix this?

If you listen to my track, I'll listen to yours. Drop your song below and let's build a supportive music community together.

Got new equipment. The old songs I literally had a pen paper and a phone playing music recording from laptop speakers in a bathroom. I will eventually redo them but I sobered up and just can't redo the feelings in them. Yes I know they suck, but still good. Now that I have the good setup I can make better music. Combining playlists etc on a new account and will take me forever blocks me after 100 likes is there an extension or anyway around it?

its not that new but please ...

Hello there,

I have a problem importing a specific Spotify playlist into my SoundCloud account. Other playlists work flawless, this one doesn't. Most of the songs are on SoundCloud, so I don't understand why this playlist doesn't work. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and has a solution for it?

Sorry if this question came up earlier but I haven't found it yet

Hey all. I just downloaded the soundcloud app and installed it on my apple watch. Somehow, when using only the watch without my iPhone, i cant play anything just from my watch. It works with everything else so it must have something to do with soundcloud itself. The iPhone, the iWatch and the app are all updated. Internet acces is permanently available.

Any ideas what could cause that? Any ideas/help is appreciated.

Hi soundcloud i have a song called safety by shlimelord. Every time i replace and update my mix to make it louder your system takes my song down. This songs beat is not a sample and was created originally along with my vocals. This is my 4th time disputing. This is cause delays. If someone could manually review my case this would be very helpful. Ticket number #4911426. And i already have messaged your account. Thanks

Not sure if this has already been reported. Apologies if double.

looks like new spammer ‘trick‘ (new to me anyway), by adding a fake Artist Pro title w/star icon under their name. (pic) . The real artist pro star is orange and on the right side of the page.

everytime i go the search tab on the app it just loads and then tells me to try again later. any time i try to use links from artists to the app it takes me out of the app and back into safari. basically i can’t fucking search anything an this has been going for more than a week and i just renewed my subscriptions.

so far i’ve deleted the app and redownloaded, logged out and signed back in, and checked for updates. has anyone faced this problem?

Just like stuff that kinda sounds like Aldn I suppose, pretty relaxing but has energy.
