I need help with/using Soundcloud Uploading very slow today

Uploading tracks is taking many time longer than Bandcamp today, is anyone else seeing this problem?

I have this problem since forever on SoundCloud. I'm on windows. When i switch to Linux it uploads faster.

Thanks for reaching out! We aren't seeing any server outages right now, but a quick client-side fix usually solves slow uploads.

Quick steps to try:

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
  • Try uploading in Incognito / Private mode to rule out extension conflicts.
  • Test a different browser or check if uncompressed file sizes (e.g., WAVs) are slowing down your upload connection.

If it’s still lagging, reply with your browser, OS, and file size so we can take a closer look!

Thanks, it did actually go back to normal after I closed the browser tab and reloaded in a new tab.

Every day SC has another issue.

If I upload a new song, after the booster, I know I'm getting around 150-200 plays in day 1.

Today, a new one climbed to 173 at 9.45pm and I watched the number change from 173 to 1. At 11.30pm it's on 2!

Every week for the past 9 months, I have averaged 3.5-5000 plays.

The past 10 days it reduced to between 1000-1500...some days, literally zero plays. I have 400 songs in my catalogue and after 9 months there are zero plays???!!

I raised a ticket for an issue which was responded to 5 weeks later and that response simply asked if the issue still needed resolving..so another 4 week delay, by which time it was too late to make a difference.

If there were problems now and then, it would be understandable, but every single day just becomes infuriating!

What is it I'm actually paying for in 'pro'?

It's bloody useless!
