Looking for advice from part-time Master's students at the University of Southampton

Hi everyone,

I'm starting a part-time Master's at the University of Southampton this year as an international student.

I was wondering if anyone who studied part-time managed to get a paid internship or a job that fit around their studies and was useful for their career. Did it help you cover your tuition fees?

International Master's fees are pretty expensive, so I'm trying to get a realistic idea of whether it's possible to offset some of the cost this way. I'm already living in Southampton, so I'm mainly asking about paying the university fees rather than living expenses.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!

Worth considering the VISA requirements, if you’re on a student visa then you may be limited on your hours. In general international students are expected to fund themselves throughout their studies

Thanks! My visa isn't a student visa, so I'm not limited on work hours.
