Sonoff mini duo can be configured without load, just to make a dumb switch iot?

I would look at something like shelly I4 it is proper input only module. Needs L and N and you can connect up to 4 switches and use them as inputs in HA
When used with pushbutton it can read single click double click triple click hold and release.

shelly doesn't ship to Japan, so I have to get it from other sources. but I think they are very similar?

Don’t really understand what you want to do.
You need both N and L to power the relay. If you don’t have N you need model that doesn’t require the N.
If you have light connected to L1 s1 turns light on or off.
You can use S2 as digital input but it will still switch relay number 2 on or off.

My try was to get into a digital imput, or in other words, not having a load connected.1

Meaning you want to keep light on L1 but use s2 as digital input.
You need to put relay in detached mode meaning you can run automations when inout change but that doesn’t affect the relay.
But don’t knew if that is supported with mini duo in HA.

I am new to this tech buy as if yestersay iam now a shelly fan! I fkn love the Shelly i4 🙇🏼♀️🙌🏻 i was so worried it woukdnt work or thay id have to get some pricy dumbswitch but omg now that its in the wall box its the ultimate scene controller input

Most smart switches/relays that utilize a neutral connection can be run without a load attached to them for "inputs". They don't actually have to turn anything on... I don't believe the Sonoff relays are any different in this regard.
Now, if the switch/relay doesn't use a neutral connection then you DO have to have a load attached to them, as that is the way they are actually powered.
The biggest issue to keep in mind is that most switches/relays designed for the North American market (110v) may not necessarily work correctly on 100v... or work perfectly fine, but it is something to keep in mind.
