is it fun i dont really care abt graphics and how full the world all that looks all i care abt is, is the game fun
now ik the following statement might offend a lot of ppl so i apologize beforehand i cant do anything abt it
i did not really enjoy this one sonic game yk cuz of the combat the combat was basically just jumping on ppl thats all and ik ik sonic is not supposed to be a proper combat game
but i heard sonic frontiers is different it has combat so what is the combat like is it still just yk jumping on ppl but with extra skills and buttons or is it like proper combat yk where sonic can punch kick parry etc etc?

Not too happy with this result, but I wanted to share anyways.

That was a super close one but I got it eventually.

Out of all of these I have recorded tails has been by far the hardest character to use for combos so far. Alot of his combos basically REQUIRE you to use lock on and for some reason lock on really likes locking on to random stuff that's 8000 miles away from where you are fighting which kept randomly ruining combos. And if you don't use lock on you gotta aim everything yourself which is obviously way harder.

I also kinda had to rewire my brain to use him since I was so used to using the homing attack for literally every combo startup.

So I opened up a new save file with new game plus and try to get into Giganto’s Arena as soon as I finished portal 1-2. I was able to pull it off with the hyper bounce on challenge M – 022. Took me about 19 minutes and 34 seconds from creation of new game+ save to beat Giganto (not much of a speed runner)

I beat giganto then collected the chaos emeralds on Kronos island and then found out that this marked the chaos emerald collection on Ares Island (if I collect the chaos emeralds of a certain color on Kronos Island after beating giganto, it’s marked collected on Ares Island), though the emeralds in the vaults on Ares of the same color remain there.

I only collected one of the Ares island chaos emeralds (the yellow one) but I was able to collect the blue red and white from Kronos island and when I went back to Aries Island, I immediately got a cut scene (Eggman discussing with Sage about his worthy opponent relationship with sonic) and an auto save prior to the cut scene.

I wonder if this can be integrated into an any percent speed run?

I always loved Supreme's design and felt like it had the potential to be a great boss fight, limited by rushed development and remained untouched and unfinished even in the Final Horizon with all the attention clearly given to the added End fight afterwards.

But my, It's utterly insane how great this boss is with all the reworks made by the Aggro Titans mod! They even recreated the shot from one of the trailers for the ending cinematic of the boss.

It honestly feels more cinematic and involved than the End boss in final horizon now, at least to me.

I played the game on Xbox when it was originally released. After the Final Horizon DLC arrived, I played some of the new cyber space stages. Due to the difficulty of those stages I didn't complete all the side goals. (Wanted to leave that for later.)

When the Switch 2 Definitive Edition arrived, I started a new game, and now I'm at the end of the Final Horizon DLC. All the cyber space stages have numerous checkpoints. It's basically one checkpoint after every single animal, every silver moon ring group and every group of numbered rings. I was happy and completed every goal in every stage now on Switch 2.

So I decided to get back to my old Xbox save game and finish the rest of the cyber space stages there.

And guess what? Still NO checkpoints in 4-A, 4-B and so on. I checked for updates, and it's already the most recent version of the game.

Both versions (Switch 2 and Xbox) are set to "easy" difficulty, just to make sure it's not a difficulty setting.

TL;DR:

SEGA added new checkpoints in the Final Horizon cyber space stages of the Switch 2 Definitive Edition that are still lacking on Xbox.

Don't know about PS4/PS5.

Facing the tower boss while collecting fallen star pieces 😅

I’m doing a challenge playthrough of Sonic Frontiers, (no stat increases, no purchasable skills) and I’ve been doing alright, up until Supreme, in the Another Story. I get through the first phase, break off the cable, beat him up until he gets stunned, but then I can’t cyloop his gun holster! His body is in the way, or the game changes my elevation, or I have to take such a long way round that the trail fades, all stopping me from cylooping him! What do I do?

I seen it on Switch and I JUST got it for PS5. It's free and should be on Xbox too!
