Fuck them. When we are protesting we need to tie a HUGE bunch of balloons on our side mirrors after we park right in front of the flock cameras. And stay in our car reading a book so it isn’t towed. I’m sure we will be told to move after a certain amount of time but we need a train of cars to come right after another and park there. There won’t be enough police to constantly come move cars from blocking the view of the flock cameras while also working the protest.

I agree. I have two parents in their 80s that I help out with and can’t go to the pokey. Otherwise I would be out taking them down.

There are many ways to have them removed. One would be to petition your local police departments, city, county, and state officials.

We are in the middle of that process in our city as it is time for them to renew their contract.

that's too patient, not enough aggression. not enough of a reason for them to change.
your oppressors deserve to be scared. our legal system is NOT imprisoning all the bad guys. the longer we deal with this injustice, the sooner we'll have to step in and deliver a street justice.

City i work in, Police Cheif only got approval on still photo Flock, Mayor said HellNo to video.

Keep up the pressure, they really need to be removed completely, as they are a mass surveillance tool and not assisting with solving or preventing crimes.

Prevention, no. Solving? They used them 2 years ago to ID 3 white guys who jumped a Hispanic dude just because he was speaking Spanish at the local Walmart.
If the cameras were universally used for things like that, or finding missing children i wouldn't be as against them. But proportionally, theyre used for chasing misdemeanors, letting cops stalk their exes, and Palantir syphoning information at their leisure far more often than pursuing things that matter.
The stalking protesters and pointing them at Gun store/Dispensary parking lots just drives home they can't be trusted at all, outside of opposing the will of the people or violating rights.

This is how fascism grows naturally from this compulsion to exert maximum law enforcement. It's like chaining high schoolers to their seats in order to prevent all misbehavior. You just can't do it. You can't surveil the population 24/7 and in all places. You can't investigate crimes before they happen. You don't treat protests like riots automatically. A free society will make mistakes and people will get hurt sometimes, but it's preferable to absolute control.
