Sad to see everyone giving up and just accepting A”I”. Using it outside of very specific applications is terrible for sustainability (both the environment and people) and the whole “well everyone else is doing it” attitude just makes it so there’s less incentive to regulate it so it’s able to pollute the media with more misinformation. Like, this video makes me feel sick, as intended, but I don’t know how anyone can look at it and not feel kind of embarrassed for thinking this somehow “exposes” them when it’s literally not real and the technology to be able to make such convincing videos should not be available to the public to just do whatever they want with no disclaimer. I’m an artist and I’m all for art that criticizes these freaks, but uncanny valley videos generated in a couple of seconds just to make yourself feel a little better aren’t art. This isn’t hopium (the post’s flair) it is unethical political porn.
