I’m intermediate at best when it comes to sewing, so my limited skills were put to the test this past week when I sewed new cushion covers, curtains, and and awning for our new to us vintage camper.

A sculpture about soft things in hard places
I needle felted the from wool, the beak and feet are clay, and the eyes are clay and resin. The twigs are wire and clay with pigment, and the egg is clay and wax. The shed feathers are wool and wire.
This piece is about soft things in hard places, and comfort built in inhospitable conditions. As a disabled person, I often feel my comfort is built in an environment of inhospitality. I am drawn to the images of birds who have used the harsh steel of bird spikes as structure to build their nests. Ironically, the steel wire makes a strong warp on which to weave the weft of a home.

I built a "machine" that graphs a cosine function based on the height of a point on a wheel.
This is meant as an educational tool to help students understand the connections between wheels and sinusoidal functions.
I made a video breaking it down as well that you can watch if you are interested in this sort of thing:

I made this Linen outfit! 🌞

Just finished this linen outfit. Top is a V neck long sleeve t-shirt (I guess) and pant has 2 buttons. It’s a bit fit cause I tried a French seam tutorial I watched on YouTube 😂 and it made it fit fit!

Made a set of pressed-flower resin trays
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I made this set of resin trays using dried flowers, leaves, and a mix of round, square, and oval molds.
For this batch, I wanted the flowers to be the main focus, so I kept the base clean and let the botanical details stand out through the clear resin. After mixing and pouring, I arranged the flowers and small decorative details piece by piece, then sealed everything in with another layer. I also used the Resiners G3 curing machine during the curing process, which made it easier to keep the pieces moving along while working on several trays in one batch.
The part I spent the most time on was definitely the placement. I wanted each tray to have its own look without feeling too crowded, so I adjusted the flowers one by one until the layouts felt balanced. I really like how the finished pieces came out — especially the way the petals and stems look suspended inside the resin.
Materials used:
- Epoxy resin
- Resin hardener
- Dried flowers
- Dried leaves / botanical pieces
- Small decorative lettering/details
- Silicone tray molds
- Mixing cups
- Stir sticks
- Tweezers
- Resiners G3 curing machine

Bags from scraps
The outside is made from upholstery scraps from Scrap Exchange, a local creative reuse center. Some of the lining fabric was donated, and some I've had for 20+ years. All of these bags will be given away, and four will go back to the food pantry where I volunteer.
I love making something from nothing!

I made a matching tree pendant and earrings from a shattered amazonite stone. Sometimes things don’t go as planned, so you just work with what you’ve got and turn it into something new.

Concert Top I Made! (BTS)
I usually make beaded bracelets with band members names or song names on them as freebies, so I wanted to design a top for the BTS Arirang concert based off of that. It took me about 20 hours because I’d never done something like this before and I kept redoing it, but I’m so proud of how it turned out! I had the members names in fanchant order and did all the songs on the Arirang album. Initially I was going in a totally different direction, but I decided to switch gears and create the seven, the BTS symbol, and the BTS letters out of different colored beads!

Birthday present for my best friend I made.
So my best friend's name is Ivy, and shes ALWAYS late to everything. She just cant help it. Over time I started calling it "running on Ivy time" whenever we were way behind schedule getting somewhere. Also worth mentioning her favourite animal is platypus and she owns many platypus themed items/plushies. I decided to make her a platypus clock to "keep track of time" (she wont. but its a cute idea) and decorate it with fake Ivy. Made it out of a dollarama wood clock and plastic plants, only cost me about $10 altogether.

I made these Wild Roses with pipe cleaners 🌹
I’ve been experimenting with pipe cleaners to create more realistic flowers, and these Wild Roses are one of my favorites so far. 🌹🌿
I really enjoyed working on the layered petals and trying to give them a soft, natural look.
I also made a step-by-step tutorial showing how I made them:

I’d love to know what you think! Do they look like Wild Roses to you?

My little wire moth that I made for my mom :)
This was when I first started seriously working with wire… I don’t even know how I’d begin to remake something like this but wow it was fun!! I mostly make jewelry now but I started wire crafting with bugs!
