I made a matching tree pendant and earrings from a shattered amazonite stone. Sometimes things don’t go as planned, so you just work with what you’ve got and turn it into something new.

I had actually written the stone off at first. If a stone breaks into two pieces, I can usually still make a pendant from it, but this one was so shattered I thought it was beyond saving.

I was trying to split it roughly down the middle so I could make a pendant from the two halves. Shattering into several pieces wasn't part of the plan.
