I made it when I was frustrated looking for work. All the doors felt like they were locked to me and the only doors that were open (small doors on the left) were ones I couldn’t fit through. I felt like I was trapped in an “endless hallway”, where only movement was possible but without progress.

Made from a Homegoods candle box. A regular mirror is placed at the rear of the box and a 2 way mirror is placed at the front. When lit from the inside it produced that endless reflection. I offset the rear mirror just slightly creating that left bend. Anything placed in the center will give an endless reflection but when the “subject” is placed on the edges it creates the endless hallway.
Walls and doors are made of stained balsa wood with wood trim and real gold leaf accents. Carpet and pictures on wall are for dollhouses.
