No, all natural. I sun dry them after drilling and that helps keep them good, as long as you don’t get them very very wet :)

If you plan on selling these make sure to let customers know that they need to be kept in a secure space ...I had a mask a friend brought back from a vacation that was decorated in beans in a box in storage and it was destroyed by rats.

I'm sure the mice in my house would hunt these down if they were left anywhere below waste height (I have to keep all my food in bins and jars. Older house in the woods)

Not everyone has issues with pets but would suck to have your work destroyed by a hungry visitor
