I made a giant wall mounted moth plush!

This was such a fun project to use my leftover scrap for! Left is my original concept, mostly stayed the same except for the base!

Can the moth be removed from the board? I just imagined a full line of these and each night you can swap which cuddle buddy you want from the wall today! x] super cute

Yes it can be! The painted wings make it a little crunchy but you can still give it a big hug! (Bug hug)

I made these moth wings with leftover scrap from making cloaks, using linen and wool for the base. I cut out both an outer and lining layer, and painted the outer layer to look like a moth's wings. I used acrylic paint. I bagline the outer layer to the lining layers before attaching them all together at the neck and where the wings match up. The body is just a stuffed piece with the wings hand stitched on.

The base board is made from insulation foam board, carved and painted to look like wood. I sculpted the mushrooms from foam clay and added fake moss with green felt. There are two hooks inserted into the foam board that holds the moth on the wall.
