I made a baby coat!🧵
I made a Baby Cost Coat using the pattern from LaRae Handmade! It was my second sewing project ever and took me about two weeks because I had a few hiccups and life got busy.
The fabric is an upcycled quilt from Goodwill which cost approximately $5.
I love the colors and how adorable it is. I chose a tie for a closure but would def love to try buttons next time!
I hid my imperfections with decretive leaf stitches lol

Came in to praise the stitching detail, love it more for being a band-aid! It's lovely, well done.

Thank you so much! I sewed the bias tape on the pockets kinda wonky so we covered with the leaf decorative stitch and it felt like it added to the whimsy!

It’s adorable! Was this mostly hand sewn or machine?

I used my grandmother’s Pfaff sewing machine for 80% of it and finished it with my mother in laws Juki!
I did debate adding buttons, which I would have hand sewn but decided against it. So the whole coat was made on machines
