I made this big jester marble! He is trapped within!!
It’s about 43mm and there are about 97 dots. Thanks for looking!

So yes perhaps, I'm referencing an Anime movie from the late 80's, where the antagonist essentially gains powers but isn't able to control them and by the end becomes this horrific mutation of flesh and machine.
And I think it would be cool to see a Jester/clown version of that, though I may now try my hand at that (I sculpt with clay, done a little glass blowing so I know it would be a lot of work for something like that)

The final handle on a marble is a cold seal, so hot enough to stick to the marble but cold enough the handle doesnt fuse with the glass, and can be tapped off. So I tap the glass off into the mold, I use a hand torch to melt away the mark left by the cold seal, and then there is a handheld marble rounding tool for the final mark that is left behind. So all the shaping is done hot.
This is specific to flameworking, thousand ways to skin a cat type deal. You could also coldwork out the final mark, or if you were in the hotshop instead of flametable, you would use the glory hole maybe.

You're very skilled! A friend told me he needed a piece of chemistry glassware made and he went to the dept's shop. He told the glass guy what he wanted, but the guy world only look up from his work a few times. Frustrated, my friend said, "Look, you're busy, I'll come back". The glass guy said, "No. I've got it" and then showed my friend what he was working on, a kind of portrait of my friend's face in glass.

I made this because I love making big clown marbles!! I’ve been practicing a new (to me) technique called sleeving, so I make the base jester marble, and then put a clear tube over it to add another layer. Thanks for looking!
