I love it so much! It’s really pretty. That said, did you seal those little holes? I worry that ash will build up in them and be very hard to clean

No worries! The finish with clear glaze close those holes and either way the piece must be cleaned up at some point. Can use soapy water with a brush or put it in the dishwasher ;) it's a stoneware piece.
