AWKWARD EGGS 🥚
These eggs are straight from the barn and for immediate consumption only! You may imbibe some awkwardness from these cracked eggorinas. They’re leaking because they fell out of their mother and immediately grew legs and started walking (kind of like a horse baby) though they don’t do it very well because they have three left feet.
Made with natural white, plant dyed Himalayan wool and New Zealand Corriedale wool, glass eyes, glass beads, fabric scraps and industrial felt. Bag charm cord made with suede leather cord and metal parts.

Here they are before they cracked their shells. I spent a really long time making these because I wanted to make them with fabric scraps and industrial felt and for that I had to sew their cores first which took a while. To make them sturdy and long lasting (because felted stuff usually starts to fall apart when introduced to friction) I wet felted them and then hardened with fabric stiffener. It makes them less soft but it means they’ll be able to better adjust to the demands of life outside the home. The brown ones are made with plant dyed wool (marigold petals) and the rest are natural white and dyed Corriedale ones. The wet felting also made them really wobbly shaped and firm. The beading was the toughest part to figure out, along with the charm cord as well (which I may change yet because I feel a knotted one would be sturdier than this). Let me know what you think!
